held well counseling

where there is space for what you have struggled to say out loud.

to be “held well” is to be seen and validated for who you are and your experience of being a human.

there is you and you.

this is a relationship.

this is the most important
relationship.

welcome to
Held Well Counseling, I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Madeleine Laney (she/they), a
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LH61634313) based in Seattle, Washington.

I’m a queer millennial who loves to work with adolescents and young adults around issues of body image, emerging adulthood, leaving religion, anxiety & depression, and developing a queer identity.

I offer Telehealth to folks who reside
in Washington State and coaching, which is different from therapy and not limited to WA.

who are you?

It can feel good to talk about [our pain] and be seen by our community, but if that space isn’t held well, if there isn’t a skilled facilitator, we can become indulgent in our pain and get stuck.
